Trick or Treat for U.N.I.C.E.F.

Will you think of children around the world less fortunate than you when you Trick or Treat this year? Please consider Trick or Treating for U.N.I.C.E.F. A few pennies will go a long way! The money is used for vaccinations,clean water, food, milk, shelter, education, medicine, diapers, and care. We would like for our class to be an example with 100% participation.

Can you imagine what it would be like to be away from your family for 69 days? What do you think that you would miss the most. This is an amazing story. Watch with your family and share your feelings. We will share the comments in our Monday morning meeting.

Hello Second Grade!
I tried really hard to complete the Animoto before you went to bed... Have you heard the saying better late than never? I really hope that you enjoy watching the video in Friday's morning meeting. Parts of Speech

Second Grade we are so proud of you! You have learned the parts of speech and should be successful in completing Daily Grammar Practice each morning. We have posted the Parts of Speech Power Point for you to review with your family. We are looking forward to your continued progress in grammar.

Rainforest Images

Dear Second Grade, I stumbled across these awesome images of the rain forest. Please watch the video and see if you can identify the living organisms, classify the organisms, and tell someone at home the layer of the rain forest the organism lives. I will give you a few hints- the four layers are the forest floor, the understory, the canopy, and the emergent. Some classification of the organisms are mammals, insects, amphibians, and reptiles. Have fun. We look forward to reading your responses in Tuesday's morning meeting!

Five Day Vacation
