Summer Fun or Weekend Adventures

    My family went to Washington DC to visit my cousins. I saw a giant statue of Abraham Lincoln. I also saw the Washington Monument, and climbed on Einstein's statue. On the way home, we went to the Great Wolf Lodge. It had an indoor water park, and you got to dump yourself with fun. My favorite water slide at the water park was the Howling Tornado. I screamed it was so much fun. I even rode it backwards. I want to go back soon! Ellie P.

    I went to Disney World. I got to have dinner with Cinderella. We also went to the beach. The beach we went to was Amelia Island. With my toes I felt a big crab on the sand in the water. And then it skittered away.

    Our whole family flew to Canada for a family reunion. We stayed in a big camper bus. At the campfire, I kept burning my marshmallows.

    On my vacation I had a great time. There was a beach and a pool. We went swimming in the pool and in the beach in Panama city which is in Florida. Our room number was 1005. We had sand toys. We went car racing. The beach was beautiful. The pool was fantastic. We had a lot of fun. Madison N

    I went to Virginia this summer. We stayed on a farm. I saw tons of deer there. I even saw a buck and its antlers. I saw a ton of praying mantises, too. I even got to touch one.

    Sheba is my dog. She went to Virginia, also. One morning, Sheba was chasing a baby mocking bird. My aunt shouted, "Sheba! SHEBA!!" The baby mocking bird's mother started poking Sheba and chased her away. Walker M.

    Over the summer I went camping. Every morning the kids (me, Kate, Frankie, Porter, and Odrey) followed the creek. Also I saw night at the museum two. I saw the Washington Monument well I was on the way to the National History Museum.

    This summer we went to Mexico and we swam in the pool and in the ocean! I went farther and farther with my Mommy. We celebrated my Grandparents' wedding anniversary while we were there.
    Before Mexico, I stayed with my Grandparents in Michigan for 3 weeks!
