  1. I am reading Ruby Lu, Brave and True Written by Lenore Look and Anne Wilsdodf. Ruby Lu the main character is very funny. The book is full of adventure. I hope that someone else has read or is reading this book. This book is not part of a series. I would recommend that others read this book. There isn't a dull moment in the entire book.

  2. Yesterday for our teahcer read a-loud, our teacher read the book Chrysanthemum written by Kevin Henkes. This book is about a little mouse who was named after a flower. When she went to school the kids teased her about her name. She felt sad and she did not like her name. Her parents thought her name was abolutely perfect, and she thought her name was absolutley dreadful. The kids in the class were not saying nice things to Chrysanthemum. Chrysanthems's class met Mrs. Twinkle, the music teacher. Mrs.Twinkle shared with the class that she was also named after a flower. Her name was Delphinium Twinkle. The kids thought wow what a great name. In the end all of the children wanted to be named after a flower. We think that others should read this book because it is a great book about friendship. It also teaches people to be sensitive the other people's feelings. In the book we also learned many different names of flowers. Second Grade Class

  3. I read George's Marvelous Medicine. It's about a boy named George and he has a grandmother and whenever he is by himself with his grandmother, his grandmother is mean to him. She has to take medicine every day. George decides to make another medicine to give to his grandmother, hoping that the new medicine will make her stop being mean to him. He mixes brown paint, shampoo, and vitamins for cows, pigs, horses and chickens--and other things too. Many experiments and funny situations happen. This book is by Roald Dahl. I think other people should read it. A.P.

  4. I am reading Summer of the Sea Serpent.I really like this book.I recommend that you read this book because this book has a lot of adventure. Jack and Annie find that the Magic Treehouse is finally back after being gone since Halloween. Then, they go on an adventure in California in the seas. Then, they find two seals. One is Teddy and the other is Kathleen the selkie, which means that she is actually a person in a seal skin. Then, Jack and Annie and the seals look for the sword of light. The seals look for the sword. Jack and Annie will get the sword. That is as far as I have read.

  5. I like the book Chrysanthemum. It was a great book, because it teaches you how to make friends. My teachers are great readers. They also read us Arthur’s Nose, we watched a video of Marc Brown. Arthur’s Nose was about, his nose of course. When he sits at his table his nose is so long it reach’s to the person in front of him. It was a great book too. I want to read all the Arthur’s series. 6. I read the first three Harry Potter books this summer. The Harry Potter books are about Harry and his friends who are all witches and wizards. My favorite is Hermoine. Now we are in the middle of the fourth book. In the fourth book, Harry is forced to enter a contest where he has to do scary tasks, like get past a dragon! I think that a lot of people should read the Harry Potter series. Ellie P.

  9. I read Campfire Mallory this summer. It was about a girl who goes to a sleep-away camp, and she meets a girl who loves green. She gets kind of annoyed by her, and her best friend is in the other cabin. So the girl who loves green wanted to be Mallory's friend. But Mallory thought she was annoying because she was always with her and she was her bunkmate. Mallory spilled green paint on the girl because she threw a paint can without making sure the top was screwed on. The girl went to the nurse and got rinsed off. Mallory got in trouble. But at the end there was a campfire, and Mallory had written a "sorry" note to the girl. And they became best firends. It was a good book. I think you should read it. AEE.

  14. Me, mom and Zach are reading the X-d Out X-Ray. Someone stole Penelope's penguin necklace. When Dink hurt his arm, very suspicious things were happening. We think we know who did it, but you need to read the book to find out! I have also been reading Babymouse, Queen of the World. Babymouse dreams of becoming queen of the world, but the only way to get to her dream is to get an invitation to Felicia Furrypaws' slumber party.

    They are both great books.
