Shel Silverstein: Lafcadio, the Lion Who Shot Back
Tammy and Jenni enjoyed reading "Lafcadio, The Lion Who Shot Back", as our first teacher read aloud. It appeared as all of you enjoyed our first teacher read aloud. Please share on the blog your favorite part of the book. Would you recommend this book to a friend in the other second grade class? Would you check this book out in the library or rush your parents to the bookstore to purchase a copy of the book? Do you think that we should read more Shel Silverstein books? We look forward to reading your comments.

Second Grade this is one of my all time favorite books to read aloud. I really enjoy changing my voice to match the voice of the characters in the book. I also love to eat marshmallows. I can't wait to read your comments about the book. I hope that everyone has a safe a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteLafcadio is a good book, and I would suggest it for a friend. My favorite part is when Lafcadio asks for a marshmallow and Finch Finger says "you can have lots of marshmallows. You can have a marshmallow house with marshmallow beds, and when you take a shower it will be melted marshmallows." Yes, we should read more Shel Silverstein books.
