Manaus, Brazil
Second Grade 2009-2010 Thank you so much for encouraging and inspiring me to apply for the TCS Travel Grant. I went to Brazil at the end of the summer. I had the best time ever. My journey began in Manaus in the Rain Forest and ended on the sandy beaches of Rio de Janerio. I saw many exotic plants and animals and the food was absolutely delicious. I hope that you all had a great summer and that your 2010-2011 school year is off to a great start.

Meet the 2010-2011 Second Grade Class
Man it's hot outside!
This summer, I went to Myrtle Beach, SC with my Dad. I went to the Amusement park, Aquarium and the Beach. In the Aquarium, I had the chance to pet a Horse-Shoe crab, which is an ocean animal. I also had a chance to take my pictures with a Parrot on my shoulder. The parrot is beautiful with colorful feathers which I like very much.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoyed getting deep into the Atlantic ocean at the Beach and playing with mud. We gathered big shells which I used to decorate my bathroom with.
In the believe-it-or-not museum, I saw a weird guy who can swallow swords, eat light bulbs and break it inside his body. Another man in the museum also demonstrate to us that he can turn his neck completely to his back.
Overall, me and my dad had a lot of fun in the city of Myrtle Beach!!
This summer I went to Washington D.C. for July 4. I had a blast. but I didn't go inside the Monument.I did go to the Spy Museum.I also went to Kentucky to see my cousins. While I was there I went to the Louisville Slugger museum.

ReplyDeleteThis summer I played laser tag and I played in an indoor playground at Sparkles. The jackets glow in the dark and we looked scary. I also went to Winshape Day camp and learned to play wiffle ball. Finally, I read 9 books this summer. My favorite was Fox Goes to School.
